How we are protecting our senior residents from Corona Virus Scare

We care for our senior residents and we will do the best we can to go above and beyond.  We are dedicated to following the mandates of our local authorities and health experts including the CDC in regards to coronavirus (COVID-19).

The health and well-being of Argo Senior Living residents and employees is our first priority. We’re constantly working to protect our seniors from any harm, and for that we are making sure all procedures are in accordance with the CDC and other health agencies such as Florida Division and AHCA among others. We can guarantee you that we will be evaluating our policies and taking extra precautions to protect our residents and staff.

It is natural that you are worried about your senior loved one during this tough situation but rest assured that Argo Senior Living is taking all the precautions and is fully prepared to protect each one of our residents.

FIRST WE WANT TO INFORM YOU: There are no known cases of COVID-19 in our facility and the precautionary measures that aid in the SAFETY and PROTECTION of our residents remain our NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.

We are closely following the direction of the Center for Disease Control and the state and local health departments.

Today, Florida Division of Emergency Management Director Jared Moskowitz issued an Emergency Order : 

*For the next 30 days, all non-medical visits, with the exception of compassionate visits are prohibited to protect residents and staff effective immediately. Limited exceptions will apply such as family members and friends during end of life situations; and other very specific situations.

We are implementing the following protocols:

  • We will continue with frequent and enhanced disinfecting of the community as per CDC guidelines.

  • All non-essential outside activities will be suspended until further notice.

  • Suspended visitation unless a very specific situation*

  • All team members received education and training on infection control procedures and hand-washing techniques to prevent the spread of pandemic influenza and other infectious diseases upon hire and annually thereafter.

  • Increased sanitation protocols including frequent daily cleaning with hospital grade, disinfectant of all environmental surfaces*.

*Increased cleaning protocols include:

  • Frequently disinfecting high-touch areas like doorknobs, elevator buttons, faucets and handrails

  • Increased cleaning of high-traffic common areas such as dining rooms and activity spaces

  • Reinforcing hand-washing and infection control training for all Argo employees

  • Providing additional personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies
